  • What is play therapy and how does it help children?
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach specifically designed for children. At Fireflies Therapy, play therapy allows children to express their feelings, thoughts, and experiences through play, which is their most natural form of communication. Trained therapists utilize various play materials to create a comfortable environment where children feel safe to explore their emotions and behaviours. This method can effectively help children cope with and overcome challenges such as trauma, anxiety, behavioural issues, and social difficulties. By engaging in play therapy, your child can develop healthier coping mechanisms, improve their emotional literacy, and build stronger relationships, setting a foundation for healthier mental and emotional well-being.
